On Thursday 12th June, we had the pleasure of hosting a very special Carers’ Afternoon Tea, held in honour of the unpaid carers in our community. It was a heartwarming afternoon filled with conversation, connection, and well-deserved appreciation.
We were thrilled to welcome so many wonderful guests—some who receive care and support from our services, and others who provide tireless care for loved ones, often without recognition. This event was our way of saying a heartfelt thank you for the dedication, compassion, and strength shown by unpaid carers every single day.
A special thank you goes to Graham Topping, Janet Hadfield, and Madeline Close—along with her lovely dog Archie, who brought smiles to everyone’s faces!
It was also lovely to see familiar faces from among our clients and carers, all enjoying a well-earned break over tea, cake, and great conversation.
We’re incredibly grateful to our wonderful volunteers, Ella Whitmill and Serena Lucas, whose help on the day ensured everything ran smoothly. Your kindness and generosity made a real difference.
To all unpaid carers—whether you were able to join us or not—please know how much you are appreciated. Your quiet strength and unwavering commitment do not go unnoticed.
