Why is it essential for clients and their families to choose a fully managed service?

Personal & Tailored Care

Studies have shown that staying at home brings significant health benefits and improves general well-being. Everycare is committed and passionate about making this happen. There are many key benefits to a fully managed service, which are covered in this article. We provide a thorough assessment of clients and take the time to understand exactly what they need from an in-home care and support service. Then, together with the client, we build a personal tailored care plan to suit their individual requirements.

Cover For Unforseen Circumstances

There may be times when the regular live-in carer is unable to attend the booking due to sickness, holidays, or emergencies. A professional care provider like Everycare will always have alternative staff as a backup to cover the care.

With an unmanaged service, the client would be responsible for arranging care cover.

Recruiting And Training Of High-Quality Carers

All of the Everycare staff who manage the live-in service are qualified carers. This means we have the best insight when recruiting staff and look beyond just the qualifications and experience carers have achieved. Everycare also looks for other important qualities, such as kindness, patience, good levels of emotional intelligence, and communication skills.

As part of our recruitment process, we ensure all mandatory training is complete, recent references are obtained, enhanced criminal records are checked through the DBS, and an in-person interview is conducted to assess written and spoken English, personality, and hobbies, as well as evidence of recent mandatory training before introducing them to a client.

We track and monitor ongoing training for staff and ensure that it is completed on time. We support staff in continuing their professional development and conduct regular staff appraisals to ensure that our high standards are adhered to.

Everycare is also CQC (Care Quality Commission) registered, complies with all their requirements, and is rated “Good.”
An unmanaged provider would be unregulated and may not have such high standards.

When Carers and Clients Don’t Fit

Everycare has a thorough assessment process with clients and will match them as closely as possible with carers based on the client’s needs and preferences. However, sometimes the client is not comfortable with the carer provided. Please don’t hesitate to contact the office; we will listen to your concerns and replace the carer as soon as possible.

An unmanaged provider could not provide this service, and you would need to recruit again, which could take time, causing potential stress for both the client and you.

Let us Take The Strain of Being Your Employer

Everycare will set up payroll for employers, manage National Insurance contributions, employer tax contributions, contracts of employment, and employer liability, and handle invoicing.

We will also arrange respite and cover breaks for your carer.

Could you commit the time to be your loved one’s employer? Could you arrange respite care or step in to cover the carer’s breaks yourself?

In summary, a fully managed service takes the responsibility of managing care for your loved one out of your hands and is the best option if you don’t want to be responsible for day-to-day management.
